Dunno what the hell I'd do for a performance, or how the hell I'd scrape together the time and money, but I'd love to finally meet you two in person, and Indy's about the same distance from Ottawa as Chicago. Maybe James and I could meet in, say, Fort Wayne and hop a train or something.

i like the idea and as much as UKD and I would love to come i don't think we have the time (or money while i'm between jobs) to make the trip cross the water.
In the same way that a basement is right for a Digi Vom night maybe we should also consider the idea of web particapation - at the very least i'm considering puting a set together that you could play in my absence.

WELL, i know ilkae would come down with no problems what so ever, if khonnor can make it im pretty sure he'd make his way up, if he's still into doing shows cause i know he's taking a break from music and doing video stuff, which im sure can be used anyway.... sex is for parents naturally will perform, and let me tell you something about his noise sets.... fucking insane. i don't even know if there good so much as they are fucking insane. ummm... who else resides in north america we can persuade?
i spoke to my roommate about it and we came to an idea of how this will go, it'll probably be a max of 40 people. $12 ticket, $14 at the door (canadian of course). the cover however is not to pay the artists, i mean if we get so many people together it wouldn't spread well enough to even feel like your getting paid. but since this would be in a house in a neighbourhood, i think the money should be kept in case of any trouble, damage or what ever it might seriously be needed for. and what ever is left after anything needs to be delt with - the rest gets spent on booze and drugs so we can all have a great time in the private after party. if this seems like a keen plan... lemme know. i'll take some pictures of the basement and upload em somewhere.... im telling you this basement is pimp.

well... here's an idea i had so as many of us can get involved as possible even those who can't make it, i was thinking that between each set we could have a streaming performance by anyone who'd like to, but really we'd probably want to keep those short because people would lose interest in the novelty of sets over the internet quickly, but if they were about 15-20 minute sets each and were sandwiched inbetween performances it'd just be a neat way of crossing over from each performance. so we should start asking around and see who would be interested in this....
mixomatosis, sending a mixtape is not a bad idea, but to just play a prerecorded set in the middle of a show would probably piss people off (and as much as i like pissing people off, i kinda want this to go as well as possible)... but if anyone wants to send some shorter mixes we can just play those at the beginning of the show as people are arriving and just hanging out waiting for the show to go on. and hell if you want to burn em to CDr, we can sell em for you if anyone enjoys the mix that much... just a thought. so anyone who wants to put together a mix to played that's cool, but try to keep it shorter so we can accomodate a few of those.
james, do you think you'd be able to get anyone you know to throw a streaming set? im asking you cause you seem to know alot of musicians, and are good at getting them involved in stuff... just wondering.
and lastly we'll need to think of a date that works for everybody.... so let's start thinking about that. realistically, i don't want to this for atleast another four to five weeks. im still moving in and want to get a little settled... but yeah, so anytime starting around mid december should be good for me.

im saying no sooner than four to five weeks. and then later i thought about where that lands it... just before christmas... which i couldn;t give two shits about, but im sure people will have all sorts of plans and things to get done and money to spend rather than come play a show for mostly free.... so.... well, fuck i live here, so anytime really should be good. so what ever works best for everyone else is the way to go... maybe sometime into january?
