Rank emailed me tonight....
He got the test pressings, and he says they sound great. The pressing plant was keen to get them done this coming week, and he paid them the rest of the money and told them to go ahead. So I will be reimbursing him now instead of just giving him the money to forward on to the pressing plant.
He said he'd mail me one on Wednesday, and it takes a week or two for mail from Australia to reach me in the States. About the same amount of time as England, oddly enough. (Continental Europe takes for-fucking-ever, BTW.)
300 copies will be pressed; we will work out cost, artist copies and distribution once Rank has the finished product in hand. He is keen that I should break even on this. Me, I just wanted to see the damn thing done and show that we can overcome problems.
Anyway, Rank is dead excited about this release, and that makes me happy, and eager to hear it for myself.
We're almost there!

yes indeed its about done, the records have been pressed and will be shipped here monday...unless of course i run off with the money and blast it all up my arm...bwhaha.
im really happy with the sound of the test pressings, knowing my own tracks best, one sounds a little muddy but overall ok, getting so much different stuff on one 7" is pretty ridiculous, i hope everyone is as happy with the mastering.
i stuck with the original artwork/concept, i felt like the project was already done and just needed to be put out...sorry if that shits you(i just love a good art beef)
i will be working out with mitch our fearless financier the ins and out of artist copies and distro over the next couple of days, any help to get his cash back asap would be greatly appreciated.
ive made another post about continuing on with another 7" project.

well the records arrived monday...but no sleeves....those will arrive today.
i will be stamping the A and B's and DVR006 on em today and putting them all together...bit of a prodution line.

Considering I'm a Yank and Rank's an Aussie, I'll take that as a compliment!
The test pressing arrived today, and I wanted to dig out my turntable (still packed from the move in late March) and give it a spin, but it turns out I'll have to reconfigure my whole half of the computer room, and I won't have time to do that until Friday night. Grrrr. But - yes, Virginia, we do have vinyl.

Each artist will get 5 copies. I gotta research postal rates and stuff before I nail down a total price for extra copies but the base price will be around 7 AUD or 3 UKP.

i live in a tiny little town with no post office (not even a pub which is odd for Australia i can tell you) so my trips to town are limited....early birds get the worms and all that.
once they leave here they will take about a week and a half to get to most places.

Well, I will be doing my album as a DigiVom release when I do it, and that's my next project. I've put it off long enough. Maybe I could do it as a co-release or something, like those Virgin/Epic records from the 80's.
