There are currently three certainties regarding the packaging for Can Buy Me Love 4:1) It will be housed in a Dual Plover-style double wallet (see: Homenaje, Athlete Of The Week, etc). 2) It will be designed by UKDragon, who recently designed some of the packaging for Shitmat's Hang The DJ album. 3) Besides the tracklisting and credits, it will also include web/email addresses for every participant where possible.Now things get a little tricky. Both UKDragon and I are currently trying to think of an interesting design concept, but currently to no avail. I've always said I'd like it to have a look of luxury about it, to work in stark contrast to the cheap/punk look of CBML3 (hence the posh DP-wallet), but we're no closer to an actual idea. So in an act of desperation, I'm looking to you lot for ideas. Whilst the "luxury" idea doesn't necessarily have to come through, what I feel is required is some kind of money-related theme, to tie in with the first 3 CDs. (V1 - corporate whores, V2 - actual whores, V3 - fake bank-notes)But, as I have always said, this is not my compilation - it's all of yours, so if you've got a suggestion, I would love to hear it. As I'm sure would Clara! Cheers.

this idea was formed in about 30 seconds so forgive me if it sounds a bit dodgy.

i was thinking the cover could be like a testament to what we've achieved so far. with a little funeral scene for dry heaves, and then it coming back as a zombie. or else, make it look like "Digital Vomit has sold out" kind of pop cover or something.

i saw a quote on the back of the family guy movie that said something like:

I live in the red light area of Ipswich in the UK, where five prostitutes were murdered late last year. It made the national news (and global - Oliver Stone made bad jokes about it).

Seems pretty bad taste, in a really bad get-yerself-arrested, sort of way around my way.

ok we've been out of contact for a week or so as just finishing building my new PC and working over time (4 weeks into a new job and i'm getting hassle to hit major deadlines)

OK Firstly We (clara and I) must put something straight here re : 2) It will be designed by UKDragon, who recently designed some of the packaging for Shitmat's Hang The DJ album.

Clara is do the court room artwork on (she is a great portrait artist, amonughst other things and used to be an annimator (for those that remeber, she work on such classics as the telebugs)). Credit for the design of hitmats album must go to Pidgin / Ethinic J.

That said, she does most of the design and artwork for all my stuff so I'm sure this will be good (she works very hard and is a bit of a perfectionist when it come to her art).

 

She's had a look at the ideas and has some plans - I've just got to get her to sit down and done.

this was an idea i came up with in the week  (based on the money concept)..

i saw something on oprah winfrey's house years ago on tv, when she was doing a campaign to help starving kids in africa.
she had 3 toilets in her house made of pure marble, each of which cost enough money to feed a small country for a week.
i hate that cunt. her and micheal moore should go fuck off and make some evil bitchy demon spawn. i fucking hate them both.
