Hehe, just wait until you actually hear the thing. By the way James, can you email me a list of all the people who took part in CBML1&2? I'd do it myself, but I don't know about some of the various aliases, and I don't want to count some people twice. So for example, 7u?, DJ YSL etc would all count as 1 person. Cheers.
Oh yes, some interesting news - Goodiepal should definetely be contributing something brand new for this release, which I believe will be his first newly recorded material since 2005. The radio recording is there as a backup, but hopefully we should be getting some all-new sounds from the Faroe Islands. Might take a couple of weeks to come through, but that's little worry in these times.

Thank you for the compliments, especially those given sound unheard. Although, I suppose the track works just as well as a written piece, 'cos I explain exactly how it's going to sound within the text.
Kate the radio presenter read it out directly from the actual request e-mail I sent her, although I had to edit the recording slightly; the full e-mail, which I had practised reading (and managed 3m36s exactly), took her almost five minutes to get through, thanks to her Rosie May from "Enviromation" presenting style. Given that I edited the e-mail down from twice its original length anyway, the first draft would have produced a 10 minute final piece. It was going to include loads more references, including the complete cast of "Very Unprofessional", a rundown of all of Wrong Music's artists, some adverts for forthcoming gigs, and an extended Shitmat interview (part of which, with Henry describing me as a dolphin with the face of an otter and eighteen breasts, remains hidden beneath one of the later paragraphs). There was also meant to be an unexpected musical-style section, where Kate bursts into song in the middle of a line, which probably wouldn't have worked in all honesty.
It was never broadcast live; it is a private recording on borrowed BBC equipment. Having heard the track, however, Kate says she's tempted to either play it out, or get me in as guest editor/mixer of an episode of her radio show.
One question: Lee, why did you bother transcribing the script of my track? I'd've happily sent you the text myself (and maybe even a transcript of the backing track). You silly man.
The indecipherable word is "Mooz" - http://www.myspace.com/moozin - an excellent, sadly split up, band of girls from this 'ere Bristol. My album includes a recording of their singer/guitarist Jess Marlowe writing on and tearing up paper, and their singer/bassist Rasha Shaheen singing. There should be more girls making fun music.
DJ Ed Siebert's surname is spelt like I just spelt it. He is more commonly known as Punksi, co-organist of the Bashout and Toxic Dancehall club nights. He appears playing car horn, and saying "This is a DJ Sarah Wilson exclusive!" with lots of echo like on Missy Elliott's bestest album, "Under Construction".
Also, "A Run Out Groove" is not a Matmos track; I made a remix of the silent run-out groove of their Fat-Cat split 12" with Motion, inspired by a track Matmos made out of the run-out groove of a famous pop album (that they won't reveal for legal reasons). Their track was called "Lift Up Your Hat", mine is called "Faulty hip tour"; one for the anagram fans, there.
The whole track is my homage to performance art comedians Noble & Silver, whose "[nobleandsilver]: Get Off Me!" series for E4 remains one of my favourite pieces of moving image ever.
I've got to get out of advert mode. I'm really looking forward to the finished album product. Come on, you unfilled spaces!

Life at Mixomatosis Inc. can get very very dull sometimes.
Still, nice to see you here. Do stick around if you wish. FYI, I send SJ Esau an email a couple of days ago inviting him on board too.
For everyone else... Teppop, Cock ESP and now Baron Bum Blood are amongst the people who would like to take part, but are otherwise engaged at the moment. If however they become free again whilst slots are still available, hopefully they will be taken by them.

Of course there's a reason. In my world, there's always a reason.
The interview with me that currently dominates the main page of www.wrongmusic.com should answer your question, and some other questions that you haven't actually asked. The real Sarah Wilson will hopefully one day appear on one of my records, resolving the whole intellectual property rights fiasco regarding our shared name.

Bangin' dancefloor action from UKDragon has just arrived... as a thank you from me for her efforts with the artwork. Also, an email direct from Frank Sidebottom states that an "ambient" track from Little Frank is apparently on its way...

I think I was in Manchester, I think with the Wrong Music crew, and I think I saw a mosaic of someone on a wall that somehow reminded me of Frank Sidebottom in some way. Then an anecdote happened.

G?udjiparl's track is now in... and it's every bit as bizarre as you'd hope. It's a Danish hip-hop track, with random bits of silence spliced in, and some instrumental bass loops at the end.
And I'll say it now, before the discs are actually pressed... no, there is nothing wrong the track - the silences are MEANT to be there.

Hehe, it is possible to edit together a complete track however. FWIW, the edited running time I've come up with is 1:30, and the submitted track (appearing on CBML4) is 2:33.
Anyway, silence or not, this is another one for the "amazing" pile. Quite aside from the silences, the Parl more than proves his rapping skills here. Dat boyz got skillz n ting.

Hooray's track has been updated... and has been transformed from a Trumpton-style theme, to something you might expect at the end of an episode of Pokemon.

?5 = 3:36, 25 copies of the 2-disc set, and a web URL on the packaging. If you don't have PayPal, you'll have to send cash or a cheque for ?5 (not local currency - British sterling please) but please - all this needs to be done ASAP.

Finally, a new track! This one's from Drohnwerks, and is an Eno-esque ambient track incorporating droning synths and radio crackling.

I think I'd rather suck Noel Edmunds' cock than have them on this disc. Still, if they pay up...
Had a track and cash yesterday from Subsonika, who provided a luscious piece of Badalamenti/Lynch-esque ambient synth. Imagine Wendy Carlos doing Mulholland Drive, and you're about there.
I've taken Frank off the list, as communication has completely broken down there. I can only assume he doesn't want in. Check page 1 for a status report on the CD.

Wow, kind words The Fez. I was mighty impresssed by your set in Ipswich. My entry for this compilation isn't anywhere near as noisey as my live stuff.
Speaking of which... any more been said about a Marionette/Love Love joint event of some sort? I'm certain something was mentioned about that in Ipswich but I was incredibly drunk at the time.

I might have to cancel a lot of Love Love gigs to be honest.

After all the bookings on the site are finished I'll start again, but at the moment I want to keep it less hectic.
I'll get you down for one of our gigs with a bigish headliner if you like?

Two things:
1) My track's done. It's something I first knocked up with my boys in Westlife a couple of years ago. They did a track called "You Raise Me Up", and they asked me to do a noise remix of it, as they were looking to move their focus away from Irish-soft-pop and towards MU-esque digital errors. This track is the result of that request, and sounds remarkably similar to the Timepoco track actually.
2) Gaeoudjiparl's replaced his nice hip-hop (with pauses) track with a bizarre and soul-destroying soundscape of noise. Brilliance. Just need to confirm the title on this one...
NEED MORE TRACKS.
