if i ever get my discs - me and sex is for parents will drop some off in our two local punk and record shops... but ottawa sucks. we have one punk shop (which is really just a shop that markets to angry 16 year olds... i;ve never been in there for a good look, but i can tell they suck) and one used record shop... that mostly just carries hip hop and old fogey records... isn;t that fucking sad? all we have is a bunch of HMVs and Music Worlds... how can a city even call itself a city with out one good record shop??? fucking sad. what may be even more sad is that my discs still have yet to come in... im getting worried...

They came! Finally! I'm sitting at my desk in work listening to CD1 at an unsatisfyingly low volume on a really shit stereo right now. Yippee! I'm actually really happy with the way it looks, the garish artwork is really eye-catching and the fold-out sleeve gives it a touch of class. It'll definitely stand out on the shelves anyway. Yes, the typography is shite, but it's legible so who the hell cares? More from me later...

i was talking about this yesterday - how because we're north of the border we're fucking treated like the biggest threat - my mom's wallet she left in indianapolis didn;t even make it over the boarder and got sent back to her firend.... FUCKING CUNTS AT CUSTOMS! honestly... this kind of worries me about the 7"....

if it's UPS there shouldn't be a problem. it;s normal mail they have issues with just because there's no other company that can be held respnsible or have a paper trail... generally UPS or Fedex would be considered more secure i guess. am i right in assuming you can just have the charges for the package paid upon delivery? if so, let me know the cost first... and maybe if you could mail it to my work rather than home (im here more than there nowadays).... i'll email you the address right away....

on another subject - did anyone get short-changed on the number of discs they received? i somehow have some discs left over. if someone is interested in distributing more or has hook-ups with a store of some kind i can give you about 10-15 more discs as long as you pay the shipping.

I got all my discs from Hooray yesterday, and I have to say, I'm impressed. It's a professional looking package, I love the artwork, and the typography actually looks fine to me. There's no track numbers, which is a bit of a pain, and the CDs aren't numbered (and switched), so it's a bit of lottery if anyone can match names to tracks, but I guess that's half the fun (:

at this point it's just getting ridiculous. so the package makes it to ottawa, the UPS guy drops off work related packages here... but not mine. call the UPS people, apparently the address was put down wrong. which it wasn't, so i asked if i could just go and pick it up. not til tueday - said they'd try to get someone out here today... but chances are i won;t be getting my discs until tuesday... fucking lordy. i swear to god there has been a fuggin curse on my life for the past few months.... it's quite bizarre.
