our friend Guy Sterling is looking to create a new series of 7"s in the vein of "Dry Heaves" (minus the drama and misery). the biggest difference this time out will be that 6 artists will participate with 1.5 minute tracks rather than the 13 that appeared on DH ---this is due to difficulties in the mastering and pressing phase.anyone interested in joining this project --- here's the place to make it known.details concerning price/quantities are still being worked out/

It's probably a stupid question but still....do you mean a track of one and a half minute  or 1 min and 50 sec?

I'd be interested as well - it all depends on the price. Guy originally said it would cost about ?0 each plus shipping which put me off slightly.

as much as I would love to do this one, I think I might have to decline.

but i'm not ruling it out yet either, possible shared colllaborative track, sharing the cost might be a option.....

(and i don't mean just spliting the 1:30 into 30 sec chunks, but a single cohesive collaborative work - so it won;t trash the mastering.)

sorry guys im a bit slack on the old internet...

Basically 7 artists contribute in much the same way as the CBML comps.
6 aural wizards provide 1.5 minutes(90 seconds) of audio each and a visual artist does the art.
Records and costs are split 7 ways.
basing the costs around what we paid for Dry Heaves, so about 220$ Australian dollars plus shipping (another 75$) to your location, for 42 copies of the completed 7" about 7$ ea record.

In the DV spirit this project is open to all comers, and will be a case of first in get the worms

First two audio slots are already filled...
1-null object-australian techno genius
2-one of my own stupid projects...
3-BINT-http://www.myspace.com/bintske
4-
5-
6-
Art-

once i have all the tracks and cash in it will take about 1 month until you have the records.
and i would like to make this an ongoing project, so long as people are interested...so this wont be your only chance to get on one.
I will check back here occasionally but if you want a quick answer email me.

What code did you want for this Guy? Everything from DVR018 upwards is free. Personally I'd go for DVR671 for volume 1, DVR672 for volume 2, and so on...
